Family Day out - Aldenham Country Park/ Farm

Image
Last year I visited my first pumpkin patch at Aldenhams Country Park / Farm. I was 10 months pregnant and saw they had a whole Halloween theme on the farm for children so my husband and I vowed when our little one was here we would go back. Fast forward to October this year and guess where we went? Yes.. Aldenhams Country Park / Farm - with Aria and our friends.  Its a super cute place for your little ones and especially at halloween as they have activities on at the Farm and its all decorated to make it feel spooky (but not scary).   On arrival you pay in the farm shop for entry (£6.00 per adult) and £4.50 for the car park.  You have the option to purchase feed for the animals / pumpkin decorating / ride on the tractor and other activities but I didn't see a breakdown in prices so I would check with them first before you spend a small fortune. We just paid for entry and the car park as Aria is still quite young for the activities but I advise you to ta...

The Ivy Chelsea Garden -

Image
Every now and then I love to visit the hotspots in London and have something to look forward to. My last trip was before December so this day out was long overdue. Last year I saw the Ivy opened "The Ivy City Garden" and of-course I was desperate to go but due to unfortunate circumstances I never made it.  Fast forward to a couple of months ago when my friend and I were choosing where to have a day out and we chose "The Ivy Chelsea Garden". Admittedly this was the better choice! Why? The restaurant is located on one of Londons most sought after roads, one that is lined with high end shops, bars and beautiful houses. You can really make a day of it - and thats exactly what we did. I made the booking on www.opentable.co.uk which was great as they send reminders!  This is so handy considering we both lead hectic lives AND we tend to book so far in advance. Back to my experience: After wading through the bloggers having their pictu...

Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson

Image
I am so happy to finally share the fact that I went to The Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson! I have seen so many pictures on Instagram and love following their account - I have been to the Sanderson for Espresso Martinis but really wanted to go for afternoon tea! I just love going to afternoon tea and recently went to one with my mum but we really wanted to go with my sister and have a girls day out. My sister booked it and as my mum hasn't been well she explained that we couldn't sit outside (extremely lucky as the temperature plummeted to 4 Celsius!) So the guy promised to have us seated inside and when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised! We had a private dining area/ it was quite dark (which didn't help with pictures) BUT it was lovely.. dark and cosy and lit with candle light - we felt so privileged to be there. The staff were incredibly friendly and explained the menu to us and asked about dietary requirements which are very im...

Tale As Old As Time Afternoon Tea at the Town House at the Kensington

Image
Are you a fan of Beauty and The Beast? Yes me too! Earlier this year I heard there was going to be a themed afternoon tea in London to celebrate the re release of Beauty and the Beast. To say I was excited is an understatement. I absolutely love afternoon tea and I love to try ones with a twist. When I first found out the tea was sold out I was devastated but I kept checking the website and seriously perseverance paid off... it was February and I bagged my slot for November! crazy I know but definitely worth the wait. I arrived with my mum on a beautiful crisp cold sunny Monday afternoon greeted by the doorman at our taxi and from that moment on it was truly magical.  The outside was pretty with a traditional old bicycle and on either side of the entrance bay trees and seating for guests to enjoy the gorgeous Kensington surroundings. The doorman didn't mind taking a few snaps for us either!   After a few hundred photos outside we were guided to the lob...
