The Boiler Suit Edit - AW18

Image
The Boiler Suit I think this new trend raises some eyebrows and is slightly like marmite - you will either love it or hate it and thats OK. Not every trend is for everyone but sometimes you need to break out of your comfort zone and be more like The Style Bubble! Last week I hit the shops in search for some new items for my aw18 collection, I'm done with summer shopping and I'm moving on to next season. Don't get me wrong I am sad to see summer go but equally I am extremely excited for the prospect of chilly mornings/ OTK boots and dark lipsticks. Back to the boiler suit.... There I was in Stradivarius trying on a pair of Shorts and an oversized hoody and honestly I hated it.. The skorts were tight and showed too much and the jumper was lumpy....I just feel like since Aria my body has completely changed and I'm constantly trying to see what works for me- I picked up the Boiler Suit just to see what it would look like..not thinking I would actually go home w...

The Floral Dress Edit

Image
The Floral Dress Trend Gone are the days where we opt for something simple, why? because the floral trend is here and it is pretty much taking over. Im a huge fan of this trend, I have already blogged about Floral bags and now I am blogging about the trend in the form of a dress. And what a dress it is. The dress I have and where its from: 4 weeks ago I was shopping (well waiting for a friend) and decided to pop into the shops and have a mooch. I spotted this floral dress and wondered if I had enough time to try it on. I quickly headed to the changing room to give it a twirl and it soon became MINE. I originally bought it to wear with flatforms until It dawned on me I had a christening/ 1st Birthday and this dress would be perfect!     How I styled the dress: I  really wanted a fun and flirty look. Something inside me wanted to be more adventurous and with floral you can be! That is the beauty of this trend. The dress has a variation of colour, blus...

The Summer Straw Bag Edit

Image
We all love a new handbag, right? Any excuse to purchase a new one, right? Well keep reading! I have you covered. As the seasons change, so should your bags/ accessories.. what looked good in winter may not look good in Summer! So I have ditched my black cross body and recently opted for a floral one (given to me by Krisp) and now I'm on to the Straw bag trend.. one I have been using over for a while now... These bags are EVERYWHERE and if I could have them all I would. I have been watching the trend and a popular choice are the round shaped cross body straw bags which are amazing but I was drawn to this little basket style one and I am so happy with it!! Why a straw bag this summer? They are bang on trend, they complete that summers day look you have longed for and will make a great accessory if you are jetting abroad. The one I chose is light weight, it is fun and it is functional! Need I say much more? I chose mine from Zara, they have a great range when...

SS18 The Floral Bag Edit

Image
At the moment all things floral are IN. I repeat IN. Which means of course I need to get my grubby mitts on this trend. Why? High end designers like Gucci and Erdem are currently floral print mad, the busier the better and I am all for this look. Im literally one of those people that either like my look very plain and stylish or totally out there.. slightly odd I know but I think the totally out there style is me subconsciously rebelling. The Floral Bag: Recently I was lucky enough to receive two bags from Krisp Clothing and now I feel set for this trend. One being a light pink floral designed cross body bag and one being a predominately white floral "embroidery effect" tote.   Both bags beautiful in their own right. Floral Print Small Cross Body bag: These bags are perfect for summer, they are so handy! Great for sight seeing abroad, hectic London life or being mum! As a new mum I find a cross body bag is perfect to keep your purse/ phone/ keys and a lip...

The Polka Dot Trend Edit

Image
Winter is slowly disappearing and our wardrobes are soon set to make a transition to spring and we all want to know what the next trend is and I can safely say that Polka dots are set to make a come back and take over the fashion scene. In past years I haven't felt that I am a strong fan of Polka dots BUT this year I am just as crazy for polka dots than polka dots themselves! Why? Polka dots are fun, stylish and can be mixed and matched - whether you choose to dress them up or go casual the polka dot trend has your back..it is an easy, fun and flirty print. so to kick start this trend in my wardrobe I spotted (get it?) this top on Zara.com - the main reason I fell in love with it was the fact its monochrome polka dots. Also it looks vibrant, fresh and great value. Initially when I unboxed it I wasn't too impressed as I thought it would be more like a t-shirt style long sleeve top but instead its loose and soft and I much prefer it this way. The first time I st...

Ruffled shirt dress in oil from Zara - (Mustard dress)

Image
Zara calls this colour oil - I call it mustard. And I am totally in love with this colour right now.. I feel its one of those colours that seems to suit all hair colours and can be styled in so many creative ways. I found this number from Zara (seems to be my main shop at the moment) The one thing I don't want to do is go over board with this colour but by buying a dress it will be easy to keep reinventing looks which is what I'm all about with my maternity look as it can be costly to keep shopping for clothes (especially when they hopefully won't fit me once baby is here!) With this dress I decided to wear it to my nephews baptism and threw on my Chanel ankle boots, oversized Topshop maxi coat and statement earrings. As the day wasn't too cold I found this outfit worked perfectly but when it gets colder I aim to wear this dress with over the knee boots or biker boots with knee socks.   The dress has three quarter length sleeves, sits just above the ...

Black Military Blazer from Miss Selfridge

Image
The military trend is always IN and for that reason this blazer is a must. Every year Miss Selfridge release the best blazers and the time to get yours is now. I've played it safe this year (and every year) as I've opted for the classic black - but this particular blazer comes in 4 colours. Why black? Firstly it's classic, second it matches everything, third of all it really dramatises the gold button detail AND it's for work so needs to be durable for the London hustle and bustle. This jacket is just adorable with the double breasted front which actually only does up with one of the buttons. It's fitted which I really love.. Miss Selfridge always have them fitted which I find adds a more feminine touch to a classic look. The jacket is fully lined and looks more expensive than what it is. I am so excited to swap my Barbour for something lighter and smarter for work and what with the sunshine we have already had and a lot more to come it's the...

Mesh dress with frills from H&M

Image
At the moment the hottest trend is adding tulle or mesh/ sheer fabrics to your look which I think is absolutely brilliant!! It adds a feminine touch with a splas of sass... To be honest this trend for me could be like the choker trend... I can't stop buying it. So this dress I bought from H&M I decided to wear for a day out/ my nephews first birthday. When I saw it in H&M it wasn't clearly displayed, in fact I can't find it on the website so it could be one that nearly slipped under the radar but being that my radar is so large :) nothing gets away if it's meant to be! (You can find this in the Divided range) So how do wear these dresses? The best way is YOUR way... Get creative and the options are endless. I decided to give mine a touch of the 80s vibe teaming it with my studded boots, all black underneath and oversized denim jacket with curly hair.   It's a delicate dress with frills at the front and puffed sleeves which could be why I...

Leopard print A - Line midi skirt from Marks and Spencer's

Image
The day before Mother's Day I had to pop to Marks and Spencer's ... Not for this skirt.. For flowers of course. I love their flowers so much and I picked up the most Georgous roses for my mother (leading onto how I got to this skirt) so there I was at the till point ready to pay and THIS skirt caught my eye. I did a double take, ummed and arrrd... The cashier was ready to serve me when I asked her to hang on whilst I grabbed the skirt of the rails. I ran to a mirror and pictured it with a white top, blazer and black shoes for work.. The rest as you know is history. Needless to say, I am a fan of animal print. I am not a huge fan of colours but leopard print seems to be a key print that catches my eye and really transforms my wardrobe. It adds life, sass and is consistently a classic print between seasons. The skirt has an elasticated waist and the length is midi.. I've only recently started to wear midi skirts which makes me super excited to wear this ...

Oversized Fishnet ankle socks black - Miss Guided

Image
The fishnet fad is getting bigger and bigger each day and they are being worn all kinds of ways, under ripped jeans, pulled up and worn high waisted, with strappy heels and dresses. It's one look I've shy'ed away from yet I really like the look of fish nets and yes I wore this look a few years back, in fact I had khaki knee high fish nets that I loved to wear and I found them again. BUT it was time to invest and I really just wanted the sock version. It's crazy enough without being too crazy. So whilst I was shopping in Miss Guided - not the online store, the newly opened shop in Westfield Stratford. I asked the girl working and she grabbed me some pairs from the back, lucky I asked! I couldn't find them anywhere else. I've had them a few weeks and today I finally wore them! AND I loved them!!! I rocked them with a gingham dress, jean jacket an biker boots. It was very Rock chic.... One of my fave looks ... I love it looking a bit grungy....

Denim jacket with ties from Bershka

Image
Now the weather is getting slightly warmer.... Long gone are the parkas and I've put away the faux fur and instead there's a new jacket on the scene... It's my Betshka jean jacket. I saw it online (well my Bershka App) and really really fancied it. Why? It's oversized and as I'm getting older .. Eek ha.. I like things to be looser and oversized.. I just feel more confident and this jacket ticked that box. It also has THE most amazing detail on the back. Anyone who knows me will know I AM crazy about back detail and the beauty of this is that it is black ribbon that almost look like kisses and they tie into beautiful bows on the sleeves, and guess what - I love Bows too!!! Sleeve detail is on trend at the moment and this is the perfect combo. With the jacket having the ribbon running through I would definitely dress it up for a night out as well as wearing it casually. Around the collar and on the denim there are slight rips to give it a distr...
