The Jumper Dress Autumn Edit

Image
Its Officially the last weekend of Summer with the clocks going back and last week I heard that the temperature was going to drop - Finally! (Since being pregnant I have felt so hot and have been longing for cooler days and they are finally here) In anticipation of the cooler weather I purchased two oversized jumper dresses and have patiently waited to wear them and all of a sudden I had a Jumper dress themed weekend so decided to write about both rather than create two blog posts. Saturdays Style  This jumper is from H&M and was purchased for under £30. Its Charcoal colour and is available in other colours but I find darker colours are much easier to mix and match and style. The is one of my favourite maternity styles without being "maternity wear". Its just a regular oversized jumper and I have bought it 2 sizes bigger than what I would usually wear. The arms are baggy and it has a loose rolled neck, its super comfy and also not too thick. Items like ...

L'oreal Balmain Lipstick - Glamazone

Image
Every so often L'Oreal release a special limited edition range. Earlier this year I became a proud owner of the L'Oreal Beauty and the Beast range, which I absolutely loved. Now just a few weeks ago L'Oreal released a range in-conjuction with Balmain. Balmain is a popular luxury brand which I am in awe of and I literally couldn't believe they were releasing an affordable range. All the designer houses recently have released a beauty range and the lipsticks tend to be £25 - £29 but the ones from L'Oreal / Balmain are a steal at £12.99. Originally they were only available in Harvey Nicholls and now they can be purchased in Boots!!   I chose 3 - but I have only worn 1 so far. There is a large variety of colours but I went for the dark dramatic colours. This year I have decided to go for a completely out there style, even though I love nude lipsticks and vibrant reds.. something inside me has decided I want a more dark intense look. It may be...

My new autumn work shoes - Penny loafers with pearls

Image
Autumn to me is all about revamping that work wardrobe. I class it like "Back to school" except I'm not in school.. maybe its more like "Back to work" without the 6 week holiday! Instagram and Facebook are no longer fuelled by friends holiday pictures and instead we see proud parents/ friends/ family members sharing their children first day at school pics. Many people have expressed they start fresh in September like children returning to school.. and I want to put it out there - so do I which means NEW WORK SHOES!! At this time of year I love black work shoes..it works best with all weather types and patent is always IN. The Penny Loafers with pearls where a natural choice. I absolutely love the style of these shoes because: - They 100% remind me of Chanel. - Patent is a classic autumn/ winter must have. - They have this seasons "must have" addition of pearls (this has been mine and my mums signature look for a few years now) t...

Leather ankle boots with metallic detail from Zara

Image
Im embracing autumn like theres no tomorrow. Im already on my second pair of ankle boots - admittedly I bought them on the same day.. I really couldn't help myself. I do have an issue where I see something, decide not to get it and then spend ages thinking about it and how I should have bought it - do you do that? This is how the story of my Zara boots begins.. I saw them in passing when I went to Zara to buy a jacket and I thought I would be really good and not over indulge. Then I couldn't stop thinking about them. I stalked the website and finally returned in store where I grabbed them and ran to the till point. Why did I have to have them? They are sturdy and robust.. and as my sister would say "they look like real bother boots". This autumn I am aiming for that biker chic vibe, my focus has now turned to my maternity look and I am loving chunky boots mixed with dresses.. no doubt as it gets colder I will opt for chunky boots, leggings and oversized...

Stradivarius embroidered leather boots

Image
Finally boots season is upon us!! Officially my favourite time of year.. I have so many boots but every year I need to get a new pair or two, or three ... ok ok I have already bought two but these are a slightly different style to what I usually buy. They are higher than the ankle and more robust biker style boots. I love the edge they can give to any look and my style for this autumn is to have dresses with biker boots. Why do I have a style? every year I tend to concur up a style in my head and then I go and buy what I can to achieve it. This autumn with being pregnant.. YES pregnant! I have decided I must stay fashionable yet a little more practical. When I saw these boots I love everything about them.. - The length - so versatile they can be worn with skinny jeans/ leggings/ smock dresses/ midi dresses/ skirts.... I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. I LOVE the gold details on the buckles, usually boots have silver details and the embroidery jus...

THE embroidered velvet Zara dress

Image
Im so glad summer is over. I have several reasons why and Im contemplating writing about it all but for now its too raw. Instead I said to myself to forget the summer, forget the fact I haven't been able to blog for a few months and instead look forward to the future..with the future being autumn my favourite season and the fact I'm pregnant. For me this means a new wardrobe, blacks, Burgundy, velvet... you name it I want it. yes I'm obsessive like that. So much so in August I purchased my first autumn dress.. AND its still available. It could only be from one place..ZARA!! I am absolutely loving smock dresses, embroidery is still going strong and throw on some tassels and you have a winning formula. Its navy in colour with the most gorgeous floral embroidery in oranges and pinks - it definately has that 70s vibe. The first time I wore it (so far only time) I paired it with my tanned cowboy boots.. this dress definitely works well with boots as it is on ...

Nicia Suedette Pocket Side lace up mini skirt from Boohoo.com

Image
Lately I have found I have a paticular style I like to wear at the weekends... Mini skirts, oversized jumpers, knee boots and my maxi duster. With this in mind I have only 2 mini skirts I currently own and really want to expand my collection, I opted for this skirt from Boohoo.com and to be n Honest it was something out if my comfort zone. I know it's currently hot to wear lace up skirts, or lace up anything in fact... So I thought I would order it and give it a go and yes I kept it, it was a huge success. The skirt sits high waisted, it has a zip on the side and a lace up front, oversized pockets and suedette feel in a gorgeous burgundy/ berry colour. I purchased the skirt in a UK size 10 as I wanted it to be a little loose rather than a tight mini skirt, also this helps to have more room on the waist when I tuck oversized jumpers into the skirt. Why head to Boohoo.com now? 1. Available in 3 different colours. 2. Good value for money. 3. Thin material ...

Roberta ruffle layered crochet blouse from Bows Boutiques

Image
If there's one thing I really really love... It's ruffles! I am seriously mad about them. They are girly, fun and pretty. Sometimes I feel I don't wear enough girly clothes as I like to keep my style simple and elegant. This top is from the lovely Bows Botiques and is full of ruffles - I just couldn't resist!! The top is totally versatile - I wore it to Afternoon tea with tight black leggings and black boots but this top would also be perfect for nights out with a black pencil skirt and black heels. I definately recommend you wear something tight on your bottom half as the top is fairly loose and full of big ruffles. I am a UK size 8/10 and I wore the 8/10 size and it fit me perfectly. At the front the ruffles stop the top from being see through but at the back the top is plain (no ruffles) and you can slightly see your skin/ black bra straps through the crochet. But be reassured it's not obvious /not that see through and still classy. The top flare...

Do not get me started about the gorgeous warm lining.. Great for this time of year. This time u styled my faux leathers with all black, a gorgeous sheer top and my Chanel boots - very rock n roll biker chic. The trousers would also look great with a oversized chunky knit and flat studded boots, the beauty of these trousers is that you can literally wear and style the, how YOU like. Red Diorific Matte Fluid by Dior

Image
Every year I love to purchase the latest "in" red lipstick/ lip colour. My collection is quite large and I always tend to steer towards a nice designer red... You could say it's my yearly treat and I find it's well worth it. Saturday's purchase admittedly was an impulse one but its one I am soooo glad I got my hands on! It's new for 2016, it looks so pretty AND it's limited edition. Presenting to you the NEW Diorific Matte Fluid - colour 004 Luxury. This gorgeous lip fluid, looks like a gloss (initially) but you will quickly learn it is more of a lip tint. This colour looks much better after 2 - 3 layers depending on how red you want to go.. I love my lips to be bright red so I went for 3 applications. It's incredibly easy to apply and can double up as a cheek tint which is a fab idea if you have limited space in your clutch on a night out. Why should you invest in Diorific Matte Fluid? ...

My first weekend in November - Autumn inspo

Image
This weekend was my first weekend I truly became excited about the change in weather.. In London it became much colder than recent days and I kept thinking its time to layer up! I am a MASSIVE fan of over the knee boots (OTKB) they are a classic style each autumn/ winter and this weekend I created two looks with my flat OTKB's. I currently own 4 pairs - 2 are flat with one pair being grey and one pair are black lace ups, I also have two with heels - one dressy and one with chunky rubber heels I purchased last year... See mine are old but it's a great reason to invest... I wear them all year after year and the beauty is all high street shops stock different styles and colours.   I decided to keep the same theme for both Saturday and Sunday and that was; - chunky knit jumper - mini skirt - over the knee boots - maxi duster coat From my pictures you can see that I alternated  my skirt and jumpers for each day.. Cream chunky knit jumpers are awesome for Autumn/ wi...

KIKO - Unlimited stylo lipstick in Burgundy

Image
Kiko has to be one of my favourite brands, This year it has taken over my makeup bag - I have already bought so much from there and cannot speak highly enough about my brow pencil (already blogged about) or my crayon gloss pencils. Every now and again KIKO run promotions and this is when I found this lipstick. It was a few weeks back now but it's one of those colours that was just coming into season and really caught my eye. For most of this year I have been creating fuller lips with different nudes and really fancied something a little different. The lipstick has pretty silver packaging, very simple, stylish and elegant. It's called - unlimited stylo 12 - burgundy - this lipstick is not only a gorgeous colour but is also long lasting, it has depth and can either look extremely glam or a slight hint of goth - it all depends on how you wear it. I wore it on Friday with all black, a band tee and simple makeup, I felt abit gothic with all the dark deep colours and...
