Cascading shirt trend - from a Pure Boutique Essex

Image
Whenever I go to different areas I always love to check out the local shops, A week ago I found myself in Essex to celebrate my nephews birthday and nice that was done I headed to "Queens Road" in Buckhurst Hill. I have been a few times and I kinda like it.. It has a hand full of boutiques, several coffee shops and restaurants. I went into a Boutique called "Pure Bputique" And they had quite a few pieces I really fell in love with. They were very Chanel-esque themed. LOVED it. But some bits were jumpers with pearls and tweed style jackets which I didn't feel I needed. Then I came across a rail with 3 shirts. - Black - I'm not a fan of black shirts unless its for winter time. White - I already have a white style shirt dress from Zara. Blue and white striped - this version caught my eye. It looked fresh and predominately blue I could picture it with jeans and white tones. The collar was sharp, the material was crisp and I loved the fact ...

Oversized long sweatshirt with poplin sleeves from Zara

Image
Currently - on trend are jumpers that appear to have some form of shirt attached to it and I LOVE it!! Especially this one purchased from Zara as its soo differently and yes I lov bring different... It needs to have a wow factor otherwise it's just another jumper to the collection. I was just a the counter when this beaut jumper caught my eye and I ran, got my size and threw it into my pile, Why did it catch my eye? The colour - it looks so fresh. The combo of the crisp white poplin sleeves against the mink jumper. I love neutral colours and this is perfect to wear during the transition of winter to spring. The second reason was the fact I saw some bits dangling off of it and yes I love stuff like that. Either it makes it more girly or adds a hint of "fashionista" - turns out the dangly bits were the ties rouching the poplin sleeve. Does it look dramatic? Yes! Do I need it. Yes! It's mine. Due to bad weather and other outfit choices I haven't te...

Grain striped organdy kimono from TwistxTurn

Image
I am so excited to finally share one hell of a Top with you, I only bought it nearly a year ago but it's one of Twistxturn classic looks and for me will be a timeless piece for a few years. Whilst shirts are currently on trend in a big way it's finally time I wore this beauty. This top is a Krisp white kimono style, with bat wing sleeves and a belt. This is definately a top every fashionista needs as it has a great peplum style edging which looks great with tight jeans or pencil skirts. So why now? Ive decided this is the perfect top to wear to London Fashion Week Festival! Like I said it's a fashionistas dream, it's overstated yet it's not too in your face and I just love the silhouette it creates and the shape it adds to my body. The fabric is slightly transparent and I would wear a vest top or something underneath... Unless your abroad and it's scorching hot.. There is so much detail with the rouched hem, bow belt and bat wing sleeves ...

Gingham peplum shirt from Primark

Image
I am crazy about peplums.......and gingham is on the come back, so you can imagine when I found this shirt in Primark I was ecstatic. Primark shirts are great, they wash well and last for the incredibly low prices you pay. Plus you can keep up to date with fashion for less. There are soooo many gorgous gingham items breaking through and I love the fact I can introduce this print into my workwear style. The peplum also gives it that added girly touch and will look great with black chinos or a pencil skirt. I didn't see this in any other colours but I am a huge monochrome lover so for me this is perfect. Why do you need this in your current wardrobe? 1. Excellent style for work. 2. Would look fab with skinny jeans and ballerina pumps. 3. Great value 4. Gingham print is IN 5. Gorgous peplum detail. Xxxx

PRIMARK retro 70s floral print shirt - Excellent value for money

Image
New season, new clothes....but this time I'm talking workwear. I love being creative with my workwear, recently I have added ribbons and brooches to up style old shirts and whilst I am loving creativity and the looks I've  created, I fancied something a little more loud. Recently we have seen embroidery and gingham taking over the high street shops and I have been craving something different. PRIMARK... Is where I found this gorgeous chiffon shirt.. I picked it up and knew it would look fab with all black and touches of gold.. There I was ...sold, it's mine. Looking into the details it reminded me of the pyjama look that is hot right now, where the top has black piping around the Edges it definitely resembles the look. It has material attached to create a stylish bow, pussy bows are a massive hit, I'm bow obsessing atm. I chose size 8 - this material /look is meant to hang off you... so I was pleased the 8 looked great as I am usually size 8 -10 in tops....

My second day in Milan - keeping it chic and classy

Image
During my time in Milan my husband and i agreed to just take life easily out there, we walked around the city, visited the shops, stopped for food and prosecco. I planned my outfits over the last few months and a few weeks prior to my trip I purchased them. My second day outfit consisted of a gorgeous print skirt from Primark, a white cut out shirt from Bershka and gold and white flat forms from Miss KG.  I always believe when I visit European cities I like to keep my outfits chic and classy. I don't like to show too much skin as it is a city and not a beach after all. A maxi skirt is a great choice that's why I chose this blue one from Primark. Each year they have a vast selection and with the two slits either side it was easy to walk in. The mater is thin and doesnt crease so looked perfect even though it fitted in hand luggage. It's a great way to cover up but remain quite cool in a hot city.  I bought a size 8 and it fit extremely well - I usually take a size ...

Bow detail off the shoulder shirt crushing from Bowsboutiques.com

Image
At the moment I am crushing hard on all styles of shirts and I was especially excited to wear and share this beautiful bargain. This top is from Bowsboutiques.com - a place I haven't actually purchased from before but loved the shirt so much I took the plunge! The shirt was originally sold out but they had a great website where you can enter your email address and receive a notification when they are back in stock. I entered my details and two days later I received a notification and excitedly ordered. There were 3 colours to choose from and I went with the light blue and white stripe - they also had navy and white stripe or pink and white stripe                                                                               I chose standard delivery and it arrived safely in a couple of...
