My lust for leggings - River Island

Image
Those that follow me on Instagram/ Twitter will know I have recently had a little baby girl... therefore Im still carrying baby weight! I'm still buying all things comfy right now.. and after celebrating 3 family birthdays in January (including my own) and consuming copious amounts of cake I can't even begin to dream of wearing jeans.. so on the hunt I went this week for a pair of new leggings... I bought two pairs from different shops and they were either way too tight and thin or just saggy and thin! I was going to give up hope when I came across these beauties from River Island. They are thicker than your regular leggings and they have gold details.. I just love gold. The gold details are the holes for the lace up bottoms..so you've guessed it, they have another one of my favourite features - bows!! Of course this style of legging comes with a higher price tag of £25 BUT they are so worth it! why? Because they almost act like a pair of your favourite je...

Cascading shirt trend - from a Pure Boutique Essex

Image
Whenever I go to different areas I always love to check out the local shops, A week ago I found myself in Essex to celebrate my nephews birthday and nice that was done I headed to "Queens Road" in Buckhurst Hill. I have been a few times and I kinda like it.. It has a hand full of boutiques, several coffee shops and restaurants. I went into a Boutique called "Pure Bputique" And they had quite a few pieces I really fell in love with. They were very Chanel-esque themed. LOVED it. But some bits were jumpers with pearls and tweed style jackets which I didn't feel I needed. Then I came across a rail with 3 shirts. - Black - I'm not a fan of black shirts unless its for winter time. White - I already have a white style shirt dress from Zara. Blue and white striped - this version caught my eye. It looked fresh and predominately blue I could picture it with jeans and white tones. The collar was sharp, the material was crisp and I loved the fact ...

Black Military Blazer from Miss Selfridge

Image
The military trend is always IN and for that reason this blazer is a must. Every year Miss Selfridge release the best blazers and the time to get yours is now. I've played it safe this year (and every year) as I've opted for the classic black - but this particular blazer comes in 4 colours. Why black? Firstly it's classic, second it matches everything, third of all it really dramatises the gold button detail AND it's for work so needs to be durable for the London hustle and bustle. This jacket is just adorable with the double breasted front which actually only does up with one of the buttons. It's fitted which I really love.. Miss Selfridge always have them fitted which I find adds a more feminine touch to a classic look. The jacket is fully lined and looks more expensive than what it is. I am so excited to swap my Barbour for something lighter and smarter for work and what with the sunshine we have already had and a lot more to come it's the...

Black Molly reform jeggings from River Island

Image
I have been on the hunt for a suitable pair of black jeans for ages... And you know when you have one pair of jeans you can't let go of but have to? Yeh that happened to me. Hence I bought a new pair and actually it's not so bad... I think I have finally got a pair that ticks every box and I'm ready to throw the old pair away. My new pair are the "Black Molly reform jeggings" from River Island. I had a a voucher to use and this time I was sensible and bought something I needed. I wore them on Saturday night with a body suit and over the knee boots. They are pure black but have gorgeous rose gold details - the button and a River Island logo on the back. Why are these black jeans so special? 1. Jeggings are softer than regular jeans, so super comfy. 2. Pure black look. 3. Reasonable price. 4. Skinny style all the way to the ankles. 5. Rose gold details - button and River Island logo. 6. Excellent for nights out but can be worn casually during...

Kimmie floral embroidered rib jumper from Bows Boutiques

Image
Trending right now is all things embroidery, on dresses, jeans, boots, tops, bags...the list doesn't stop! I have really embraced this trend and every time I see something new I really want it.. I am trying not to go too overboard but it is proving to be hard. My latest addition to my embroidery collection is this gorgeous jumper from Bows Boutiques. It's absolutely stunning - the floral detail of colours - green, red, blush pink and nude are a great contrast on the black jumper. The extra special detail for me was the faux pearls and diamonds that are intwined with the embroidery design.. The embroidery isn't all over the jumper which is nice as sometimes having too much makes it more difficult to style.  The jumper has a lovely round neck, ribbed and baggy oversized style, it can be worn slightly off the shoulder. It's great to wear with a pair of jeans and boots to look smart casj at the weekend OR can be worn for a dinner date with faux leathe...

It's ALL about the Zara dress - Embroidery is going to be huge next season!

Image
I've started to become quite bored of summer wear and as each season comes to a slow end I am super excited for all the new trends to hit the shops. In recent weeks I have found myself frequenting Zara A Lot A LOT! Their new season trend of all things embroidered has taken over the store like the plague and to be quite frank I am loving it. Their styles are hugely based on the likes of Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana but the prices are a fraction and the quality is great! I've already posted about my Zara bag inspired by Gucci and when I bought that I also bought the most sought after and magical dress I could possible own.   I held off from wearing my dress as I really wanted to wear it for the first time for something special and then I realised I could wear it for my first wedding anniversary getaway in the evening! Just before this day I was reading ES magazine and saw that it has sold out! I couldn't believe it.. When I bought it there were so many - I didn...
