Oversized Fishnet ankle socks black - Miss Guided

Image
The fishnet fad is getting bigger and bigger each day and they are being worn all kinds of ways, under ripped jeans, pulled up and worn high waisted, with strappy heels and dresses. It's one look I've shy'ed away from yet I really like the look of fish nets and yes I wore this look a few years back, in fact I had khaki knee high fish nets that I loved to wear and I found them again. BUT it was time to invest and I really just wanted the sock version. It's crazy enough without being too crazy. So whilst I was shopping in Miss Guided - not the online store, the newly opened shop in Westfield Stratford. I asked the girl working and she grabbed me some pairs from the back, lucky I asked! I couldn't find them anywhere else. I've had them a few weeks and today I finally wore them! AND I loved them!!! I rocked them with a gingham dress, jean jacket an biker boots. It was very Rock chic.... One of my fave looks ... I love it looking a bit grungy....

My second day in Milan - keeping it chic and classy

Image
During my time in Milan my husband and i agreed to just take life easily out there, we walked around the city, visited the shops, stopped for food and prosecco. I planned my outfits over the last few months and a few weeks prior to my trip I purchased them. My second day outfit consisted of a gorgeous print skirt from Primark, a white cut out shirt from Bershka and gold and white flat forms from Miss KG.  I always believe when I visit European cities I like to keep my outfits chic and classy. I don't like to show too much skin as it is a city and not a beach after all. A maxi skirt is a great choice that's why I chose this blue one from Primark. Each year they have a vast selection and with the two slits either side it was easy to walk in. The mater is thin and doesnt crease so looked perfect even though it fitted in hand luggage. It's a great way to cover up but remain quite cool in a hot city.  I bought a size 8 and it fit extremely well - I usually take a size ...

Something Paisley for the weekend

Image
Last weekend I decided to hit the shops to look for an outfit for a close friends birthday party. Walking around the shopping centre I remembered I hate shopping in January because of all the unwanted sale items still looming on the shop rails and therefore left empty handed. Mid week I decided to have a sneaky peak at Boohoo.com. I already had in mind I wanted a Paisley shirt dress that I could wear with my new Chanel boots.  I came across the "Debbie Paisley Border print shirt dress". Although I tend to steer away from colours I really liked the print/ variation in this particular dress. I choose the black option but it also has elements of navy, cream and burgundy. By having a variety of colours it would enable me to mix and match it with other items I currently have in my wardrobe. When I tried it on I wasn't 100% sure the style would suit a Saturday night out. The length of the dress was longer than I anticipated and reached my knees.  To me it didn't qu...

It's all about the shoes - Dorothy (The wizard of Oz)

Image
A couple of months back I purchased a gorgeous pair of Red Ghille lace up pointed flats from River Island. The colour immediately drew me to try them on and once they were on I suddenly felt the "must have" feeling. The shoes are of course my favourite colour Red and a million outfits sprung to mind that I could make these my statement piece. They look so fierce and bold and only £28!  Feeling like Dorothy  The first day I wore them I immediately wanted to Instagram them and so I did with the caption "Feeling like Dorothy". Looking down seeing the red shoes I felt I could click my heels and anything was possible.  I'm going to be honest when I tried them on for the first time I wasnt entirely convinced these would be the comfiest of shoes but once I had worn them for several hours I was pleasantly surprised. Just make sure you do not tie them up too tight. Lace up flats are currently on trend and a lot of high street shops ar...
