The Floral Dress Edit

Image
The Floral Dress Trend Gone are the days where we opt for something simple, why? because the floral trend is here and it is pretty much taking over. Im a huge fan of this trend, I have already blogged about Floral bags and now I am blogging about the trend in the form of a dress. And what a dress it is. The dress I have and where its from: 4 weeks ago I was shopping (well waiting for a friend) and decided to pop into the shops and have a mooch. I spotted this floral dress and wondered if I had enough time to try it on. I quickly headed to the changing room to give it a twirl and it soon became MINE. I originally bought it to wear with flatforms until It dawned on me I had a christening/ 1st Birthday and this dress would be perfect!     How I styled the dress: I  really wanted a fun and flirty look. Something inside me wanted to be more adventurous and with floral you can be! That is the beauty of this trend. The dress has a variation of colour, blus...

The Jumper Dress Autumn Edit

Image
Its Officially the last weekend of Summer with the clocks going back and last week I heard that the temperature was going to drop - Finally! (Since being pregnant I have felt so hot and have been longing for cooler days and they are finally here) In anticipation of the cooler weather I purchased two oversized jumper dresses and have patiently waited to wear them and all of a sudden I had a Jumper dress themed weekend so decided to write about both rather than create two blog posts. Saturdays Style  This jumper is from H&M and was purchased for under £30. Its Charcoal colour and is available in other colours but I find darker colours are much easier to mix and match and style. The is one of my favourite maternity styles without being "maternity wear". Its just a regular oversized jumper and I have bought it 2 sizes bigger than what I would usually wear. The arms are baggy and it has a loose rolled neck, its super comfy and also not too thick. Items like ...

Mesh dress with a body by H&M - Coachella

Image
I have to put it out there, that recently I am loving H&M... I go though phases and literally at the moment I can't get enough. Everytime I walk in, I always find something I like, love, need, want and this recent find it a bargain and a massive game changer. It's such a simple concept, one of which I will be creativity serval looks with. I love items like this as I feel I really get my money's worth. So this is a bodysuit connected to a mesh/ pretty lace overlay. Sounds simple right? Well it is.... So the choice of bottoms are up to you...... I had this outfit planned for a night in Essex and originally I was going to wear a mini skirt underneath but I didn't feel it was quite right. Instead I opted for leggings as they seemed a little more glam fashionista which was the look I was actually going for. I have to say I really loved wearing it as it can be something quite dressy and yet you can really dress it down. I loved the way the leggings gave...

Silver flat forms from H&M

Image
I have to say I've surprised even myself with this one. I love all things gold, not brassy gold but light dusky gold and I've been on the hunt for some golf flatforms and I've basically failed BUT on my quest I found the coolest silver ones! So every cloud really does have a SILVER lining!!!! These are gorgeous... I'm a huge flatform fan... They are comfy, give you height and really make a statement. A lot of the fashion houses like Gucci have released flat forms and the high street have followed. I love the contrast of the white sole and the silver....     The first time I wore them was with this gingham dress and leggings.....a kinda sporty look which I found quite fun and different. I look forward to also wearing them with skinny jeans and slogan tees or a mini jean skirt and oversized tee. These have to be the perfect shoes for spring and summer. Reasonably priced and can be found at H&M. Xxxx

Mesh dress with frills from H&M

Image
At the moment the hottest trend is adding tulle or mesh/ sheer fabrics to your look which I think is absolutely brilliant!! It adds a feminine touch with a splas of sass... To be honest this trend for me could be like the choker trend... I can't stop buying it. So this dress I bought from H&M I decided to wear for a day out/ my nephews first birthday. When I saw it in H&M it wasn't clearly displayed, in fact I can't find it on the website so it could be one that nearly slipped under the radar but being that my radar is so large :) nothing gets away if it's meant to be! (You can find this in the Divided range) So how do wear these dresses? The best way is YOUR way... Get creative and the options are endless. I decided to give mine a touch of the 80s vibe teaming it with my studded boots, all black underneath and oversized denim jacket with curly hair.   It's a delicate dress with frills at the front and puffed sleeves which could be why I...

Aviator fashion glasses by H&M

Image
Do I wear glasses? No I don't. These are my latest fashion accessory. It is a strange one as roughly 5 years ago "Geek chic" was all the range and at the time I had fake thick rim glasses which I loved. Geek chic has recently been revamped with a 70s look. The glasses need to be aviator oversized frames and I found mine at H&M. They are gold frames with a small touch of tortoise shell on the arms of the frames and look very retro indeed. Although I probably look semi ridiculous I really like them!! The only thing I would say is that you shouldn't really wear them for too long. They make a great statement and really add to the look I created at the weekend. Why should you channel your inner 70s? 1. Hottest trend right now. 2. Excellent value for money to get the look for less. 3. Adds intelligence to your look. 4. Great for an evening out if your heading somewhere trendy. 5. Can also be worn daytime. Get yours here; Aviator...

Tiger Brooch (Gucci dupe ) from H&M

Image
I am super excited to share this find from H&M. Have you heard this year in the Chinese calendar is the Rooster? WELL in the world of fashion and Gucci it's the year of the Tiger.. Which I absolutely love. In fact last year was also all about Gucci and Tigers and I spent a while frantically looking for a tiger brooch. I looked everywhere, online, in shops and I even attempted to search for a tiger brooch at a vintage fair and I had no such luck. Until a couple of weeks ago I stumbled across this beauty! I love this brooch and so did my mum so we both had to get one. It's gold, black and full of sparkles that makes it eye catching - every box ticked. This is definitely a Gucci Dupe at its best. How would I wear it? Ooh well with a white crisp shirt at the collar (I did this last year with various other brooches) it really adds something different and can immediately transform your look. You can attach it to jumpers with a cluster of other brooches ...

Earrings with tassels by H&M

Image
Are you like me and every now and again lust after something "different"? I literally always wear my gold heart earrings as they are a safe option and one less thing to worry about. However I have recently been feeling differently and have wanted something much different than my safe option (well at least for the weekend). Which leads me on to these earrings!! Black and gold my favourite combo ... Of course they caught my attention.. I originally thought they looked funny... Then I thought "why not" I LOVE different, I love black and gold and I love tassels... So naturally I became their proud owner. They made their debut on Saturday afternoon when I was going shopping late afternoon and then to a house warming party. Admittedly I didn't have long to get ready as I was on a tight schedule but I was happy with my overall look and I am looking forward to wearing the earrings with my hair tied back when I hit the party season! I absolutely loved ...

This Autumn / winter grab yourself a hat from H&M

Image
If there is one accessory you MUST HAVE this autumn/ winter it's a hat. Not your typical beanie hat with Pom poms but a gorgeous and super stylish wool hat. I got mine from the Divided range at H&M, when the lady asked if I wanted a bag I said "no thanks I will wear it now" I literally couldn't help myself I love it so much, I walked out the shop with it on. My particular hat comes in 3 sizes which is great as everyone's head sizes vary. It is premium quality of felted wool which is fab to keep your hair warm.   I just love the edge it gives my outfits and can't wait to really be creative in the coming months. Do you need a hat this a/w 16? Your answer is yes and here's why you should buy yours from H&M: 1. It comes in black - this is the best colour as it goes with everything and you can really get your use out of it. 2. Excellent value for a hat. 3. Made of felted wool which will keep you warm and also has a grosgrain band ...

My Dolce and Gabbana inspired H&M dress

Image
When I left Milan I left inspired. The one place I was truly impressed with was Dolce and Gabanna and their bold prints. Every collection they had told a story and I was transformed into their fantasy world looking around their stores. When I arrived back home the idea of wearing prints of flowers was embedded in my mind and I had to find something to quench my thirst for this look. I tend to steer away from prints but sometimes I love to go off track. The day before my trip I suddenly felt unprepared and made a quick dash to H&M. I call this my "last cry for help" whenever I impulse buy Dr a holiday. We all know the truth - we have enough clothes already but you have that need to pack a little more than needed and buy last minute clothes just in case".   Presenting to you my "Dolce and Gabbana" inspired dress. It's bold floral pattern mixed with stripes in a variation of colour really make this dress stand out from the rest. It has a gorgeo...

The art to up styling a H&M Basic dress

Image
Two weeks a go I had the dilemma of "What can I wear for a February wedding!?" Don't get me wrong if you took a trip to my wardrobes you would see plenty of occasional dresses that I have only worn once, maxi dresses, lace, black, red, pinks and pastel colours.. All types.. but I just didn't feel they would be suitable as I had never attended a wedding in February and with this in mind I was excited to get myself something new. I went to all my regular haunts and even trawled the internet but sometimes when your looking too hard I find nothing grabs me. After extensive searching my last port of call Was H&M and to be honest I was on the brink of just giving up when I found a very simple dress from the "Divided H&M Basic" range. I loved the colour and quickly slipped it on.. I thought you really can't go wrong for £9.99. In the changing room I pictured in my mind what I had at home and what colours I could wear it with. The colour is a gorgeo...
