My stay at The Landmark London Hotel
This weekend I stayed at the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone.
This 5 star luxury hotel is directly opposite Marylebone Station and has two entrances. the entrance at the front offers Valet parking and quick access to checking in.
Upon arrival the staff were all friendly and informative and we were extremely pleased to hear that we had been upgraded free of charge.
Exited to get to the room we went straight up and didn't Stop to look around the hotel simply because we couldn't wait to see what upgrade we had been treated to.
We stayed in the Marylebone Studio suite.
Entering we fell in love. We had a lounge complete with a sofa, a large sitting chair, a desk with mirror and leather chair, a TV and coffee machine.
And let's not forget our bottle of champagne (Apart of our package)
There were large Juliet balcony windows that over looked the Landmarks BEAUTIFUL Winter Garden which if you didn't know is made up of Palm Trees. Here you can eat breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner.
After loving everything about the reception lounge we were surprised to go into the bedroom and see another flat screen TV, 2 BEDS..yes not one but two beds and another set of Juliet balcony windows (Of course these are locked for customer safety).
Complimentary water can be found on the bedside table and of course a Landmark pen and pad for your convenience.
In the bathroom came another surprise where the toiletries are all Molten Brown (my favourite) and you have white robes and slippers allocated in the cupboard.
After seeing the bedroom we already decided to go to Selfridges which is within walking distance - if you know the way (we actually used google maps )and then would return back to the hotel to relax in the Spa.
The Spa is located on the ground floor all tucked away from the hustle and bustle of London.
It has a swimming pool with a few beds laid next to it, a jacuzzi and sauna all in the same area and steam rooms can be found in the changing rooms.
We went around 5pm which seemed really quiet and there were only two other people there which was perfect for us.
You can book in for massages but on this occasion the Spa facilities proved to be enough to truly relax us.
After the Spa we heading back to the room to finish the Champagne and get ready for an evening of dinner and drinks.
The room was incredibly spacious and enough space for us both to get ready in comfort and ease.
After a great night out we returned and slumped into the comfiest beds.
Four pillows per bed - I was in Pillow heaven :)
I had such a great sleep I didn't want it to end.
The morning came and it was so chilled, I washed my hair and used my Molten Brown products and made my way down to breakfast around 9.30am.
Originally we weren't seated in the middle with all the palm trees and after kindly requesting they prepared a table and sat us in the middle section - its a must if you are dining here.
Its so pretty full of palm trees and natural day light.
On the menu was:
- English breakfast.
- Blueberry Pancakes.
- Cinnamon French toast
- continental breakfast.
- Fruit
You order your juice/ hot drink and toast with the waiter and then you are ready to serve yourself through their buffet style layout.
After a filling breakfast we had a little walk around the hotel up the cascading staircases and headed to the lift to go and pack and relax - I have to say the decor is very regal with a lot of marble detail and extravagant palm trees and the occasional oversized lamp located near the lifts.
Flower displays also seemed to be a central attraction at the hotel as you could see many displays whilst wondering around the premises.
When checking in they ask if you would like a complimentary newspaper and ofcourse I said yes.
So after a breakfast making me feel quite full, it was lovely to lounge on the bed with the paper for a little while...
My time here wasn't long but for the time I had it was well worth it.
I enjoyed every second from the champagne on arrival to the relaxation in the Spa... it really has ticked every box.
Till next time.... but for now I have the memories.
